Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

By creating an account or using Dojo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Dojo.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Dojo. By using Dojo, you represent that:

  • You are at least 16 years of age.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You are not barred from using the platform under any applicable law.

We reserve the right to change this age requirement in the future to adapt to evolving laws and platform needs.

2. User Conduct

To maintain a respectful and constructive environment, you agree not to:

  1. Post or share hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content.
  2. Promote or incite violence, harm, or illegal activity.
  3. Use bots, spam, or automated scripts to manipulate the platform.
  4. Impersonate individuals or organizations.
  5. Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property.
  6. Share misleading, harmful, or deliberately false information.
  7. Upload AI-generated spam or unreviewed, mass-produced content.
  8. Post shallow "engagement-bait" or performative content (e.g., "like for part 2").
  9. Create or promote a deceptive personal brand meant to manipulate users.
  10. Share private or identifying information of others without consent (doxing).
  11. Post disturbing or shock content solely to provoke emotional reactions.
  12. Treat the platform as a dumping ground for harmful, careless, or divisive material.

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access for users who violate these Terms.

3. Content Ownership and Licensing

You retain full ownership of all content you post on Dojo. By posting content, you grant Dojo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform and in promotional materials. This license is limited to supporting platform operations and marketing.

If you delete your content, Dojo will retain it for up to 30 days for moderation and security purposes, after which it will be permanently removed unless otherwise required by law.

4. Automated Systems, AI, and Content Analysis

Dojo uses automated systems, including third-party AI providers, to analyze content — both yours and others' — to power features such as recommendations, search, content filtering, and safety and moderation. By posting content, you acknowledge it will be processed in these ways.

Content filters you create may analyze content to match your stated preferences. Filters relating to political topics involve analysis of political viewpoints, which is sensitive information; we perform this analysis only after you provide explicit in-app consent, and you may delete such filters and withdraw consent at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details. Automated analysis is not perfect and may misclassify content; you are responsible for the content you post.

5. Advertising and Sponsored Content

Dojo may display sponsored posts and other advertising within the app. Sponsored content is Dojo's own (first-party) advertising; we measure its performance within the app and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Advertisers are solely responsible for their content, and the presence of sponsored content does not imply endorsement by Dojo. Sponsored content will be identified as such where required.

6. Account Termination

Dojo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, including (but not limited to) when:

  • You violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
  • Your content poses a legal or safety risk.
  • You attempt to manipulate or disrupt the platform or its users.

In most cases, we'll provide notice and an opportunity to respond. However, immediate action may be taken without notice in cases involving threats, illegal content, or severe violations. You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

7. Platform Availability

Dojo is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee:

  • That the platform will be available at all times.
  • That it will be free of bugs or errors.
  • That user interactions or content will always be safe, accurate, or constructive.

We are constantly improving Dojo but make no warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Dojo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • This includes loss of profits, data, reputation, or business opportunity.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to Dojo in the 12 months prior to the claim.

You agree to use the platform at your own risk and discretion.

9. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, not in court, and on an individual basis (no class actions).

  • Arbitration will take place in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
  • You and Dojo each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do:

  • We will notify users of material changes (via in-app notice or email).
  • Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of Dojo.

11. Contact

If you have questions or concerns about these Terms, contact us at legal@dojogo.org.

12. Your Content and Our Role

Dojo is a platform for user-generated content. Content posted by users is the responsibility of the person who posted it, not Dojo. We do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any user content, and we are not liable for content, conduct, or communications between users.

We may — but are not obligated to — review, moderate, remove, or restrict content or accounts at our discretion, including content that violates these Terms or applicable law. Reviewing some content does not create an obligation to review all content.

13. Copyright and DMCA

Dojo respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices of alleged infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Designated Copyright Agent. Notices of claimed infringement should be sent to our designated agent:

  • Agent: DMCA Agent, Dojo
  • Address: 10 Emerald Ave, Westmont, NJ 08108, United States
  • Phone: (856) 630-4355
  • Email: legal@dojogo.org
  • Copyright Office Registration Number: DMCA-1076314

Submitting a notice. A valid notice must include: a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent; identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Counter-notification. If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the agent above. It must include your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Dojo may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the notice. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order.

Repeat infringers. We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

14. Disclaimers

Dojo is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate or reliable.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dojo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your content, your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
